Terms & Conditions
By participating in this challenge, contestants acknowledge they have read and accept this document. Any violation of the terms and conditions stated here may result in an application being deemed null and potential prizes being revoked.
The challenge will initially run between the 15th of November and the 15th of December of 2017, any solution submitted after that deadline will not be taken into account. Eventually, if needed, we could evaluate the possibility of extending the final deadline.
After the challenge is finalized, a jury consisting of members of Aerolab’s Dev team will evaluate all solutions based on a set of stablished criteria explained below.
(Keep in mind that the jury will also take into account the quality of the submitted code. Simply meeting this criteria doesn’t mean your solution will automatically win)
- Each product should have a visible price in points.
- The user should be able to sort products by price, from highest to lowest, and vice-versa.
- The user should be able to see how many points they have in their account.
- There should be a clear way for the user to distinguish those products that they can redeem from those they cannot.
- A “Redeem” button should be available for those products that the user has enough points to claim.
- A “Redeem now” option should appear when the user interacts with a product that they have enough points to claim.
- When the user doesn’t have enough points for a product, they should be able to see how many more points they need to claim it.
- The user should not be able to redeem a product for which they don’t have enough points.
- When the user clicks on the Redeem now button, the system should automatically deduct the item’s price from the users’ points.
This is what we expect of your product. If you choose to build it in any other way, it could still be valid, as long as it makes sense and it’s an improvement on the overall experience. We’re looking for creative solutions, so go ahead, take some risks and blow us away!
They will decide the winners based on said criteria, and their decision is final. Depending on how many entries are received, we will be announcing the winners around the first few days of January.
The only requisite is that participants are over 18 years old and that they’re not employees (current or former) or have a direct relationship to Aerolab.
Once the evaluation period is over, winners will be first contacted via the mail provided in their application. After being notified, they have ten working days to validate their identity and claim their prize. If a prize is left unclaimed after the indicated period, it falls on to Aerolab whether another winner is chosen or the prize is declared vacant. Any additional taxes or shipping costs fall exclusively on the winner. Aerolab claims no responsibility over the prizes condition upon arrival, this being a responsibility of manufacturers and distributors.
Winners will be required to express consent for Aerolab to publish some of their personal data (first name and twitter handle) for publicity and transparency issues.
Should winners prefer to claim the nominal value of the prize over the prize itself, it falls on to Aerolab whether or not to comply.
This contest could be shut down, delayed or suspended due to unexpected situations, with proper notice to all participants.
Any and all material submitted by contestants will remain the intelectual property of the author. Under no circumstance will Aerolab claim ownership over the submitted work or make commercial use of it.
